Dear IMPRI Well-wisher,
Greetings!
We hope you are safe and well.
This year, the focus of World Water Day (March 22) is on 'Groundwater - Making the Invisible Visible'. The UN World Water Development Report 2022 reiterates the importance of sustainable management and use of groundwater, and effective groundwater governance as a tool to adapt to climate change - an important reminder to governments, organisations, and individuals for urgent and concerted action.
This week's #WebPolicyTalks delve into a range of issues, including municipal legislative reform, paradoxes in achieving gender equality in India, and women and mental health.
The newsletter, as always, will apprise you of these upcoming #WebPolicyTalks, IMPRI's recent publications, and videos of events in case you missed them.
We hope to see you soon at one of our #WebPolicyTalks!
Wishing you the best for the week ahead,
Anshula Mehta, Senior Assistant Director, IMPRI
