This Week at #IMPRI

Anshula Mehta IMPRI

Dear IMPRI Well-wisher,

We hope you continue to stay healthy and safe in these uncertain times.

With India's vaccination coverage crossing 62 crore doses, and half of the eligible adult population in the country having received at least one dose, we can be hopeful of a steady increase in vaccination coverage in the coming months, while being steadfast in following COVID appropriate behaviour and protocols.

We begin this week at IMPRI in remembrance of Dr Gail Omvedt - a prolific sociologist and human rights activist - bringing together thoughts from those deeply familiar with Dr Omvedt and her life's work on land, caste, class, and gender.

We then move on to a variety of #WebPolicyTalks in the coming weeks - on education for sustainable development, urban water and socio-economic equity, and more.

The newsletter, as always, will apprise you of these upcoming events, IMPRI's recent publications, and videos of #WebPolicyTalks in case you missed them.

Wishing you the best for the week ahead,

Anshula Mehta, Senior Assistant Director, IMPRI
